Creation 2012 is just around the corner! Signups are already up and you MUST go this year.

Creation is the largest Christian music festival. Creation offers jam packed days filled with the top musical artists, kids’ activities, worship tent and more. However, the Creation Festival is about much more than music. Creation is also about honoring the Word of God through our speakers and seminars.

You can go to Creation’s website to see a list of Artists that will be there (www.creationfest.com/ne/artists.php)

You can look at Creation’s Website for more details about what happens at Creation (www.creationfest.com/ne/). Creation has two stages were most of the music and speakers perform. The smaller stage, smaller bands play throughout the day. The larger bands play at the Main Stage and we have a group tarp that our entire group can stay together for the main performers. The music and speakers usually play all day until 12:00 AM.

Here is another Creation page that gives very specific details about everything Creation (http://www.creationfest.com/ne/details.php)

We setup a camp site in which we sleep groups of guys and groups of girls (separated) in tents at about 6-8 a tent. We have adults that sleep in the tents with the younger (Wildfire) students or in a tent beside them. The camp is usually split into a guy area and a girl area so a tent of guys isn’t next to a tent of girls. The sleeping arrangements are very closely monitored by the adult leaders for Wildfire. Adults arrange their own sleeping arrangements with Jonah (Youth Pastor). Showers are available at the campsite or at public showers that Creation offers.

Sign up here!!

Any questions please talk with someone at the information center (at Pleasant View Church) or talk to e-mail Jonah McWilliams at JonahAndKristen@verizon.net. Anyone signing up must inform us of grade/age and also give payment before tickets are bought.

PRICES:
– Adults – $135.00
– Youth – $85.00

It is that time again!! The Wildfire Fudge sale has started. Wildfire does a fudge sale every year to raise funds for the Youth Group. These funds pay for the many different activities that the Youth Group does throughout the year, the biggest being Creation. Here are the details for the fudge sale:

  • We will be selling Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Chocolate/Peanut Butter fudge for $5.00 a pound
  • Sale begins Sunday November 13th
  • All orders must be turned in on December 11th
  • We will meet at church on Thursday, December 15thand Friday, December 16th to make the fudge (if needed we will also meet December 17th).
  • We need lots of help, so anyone who sells fudge should plan to help on those days.
  • Once all of the fudge is made and packaged the Fudge can be delivered or picked up.
  • Money needs to be collected when you deliver the fudge
  • Checks can be made payable to Pleasant View Church

You can get an order form here if you are interested in selling fudge, but you MUST inform Jonah or Kristen McWilliams that you are selling fudge. Thanks for your support of Wildfire!!

Finland Wins Gold at Wildfire Olympics

On November 8, 2011, in Wildfire News, by Jonah McWilliams

The games are over and Finland has won gold in dominating fashion. Wildfire held it’s first Olympic games for the month of October and it was full of fun and excitement. The last night of games determined the final winners with Finland taking Gold, USA taking Silver and Uzbek taking Bronze. Uzbek had a great final night pushing Russia out of medal contention taking over the third place spot. The games were fun and it made for an exciting week! Thanks for everyone that was involved and thanks to Kristen for getting all the games and brackets together for the games.
